Pine View Association (PVA) is an organization of parents, teachers, staff, and friends of Pine View School in Osprey, Florida. Pine View is a Sarasota County public school for intellectually gifted students in Grades 2 to 12. It is consistently ranked as one of the nation's top public schools, and its students regularly achieve regional, state and national recognition for their accomplishments in academics as well as extracurricular activities. Pine View Association (PVA) was established as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 1972 to enrich the school's programs and activities so that Pine View School remains a center of academic excellence. PVA strives to enhance and enrich Pine View students' school experience by supporting the school's academic, social, fine arts and technology objectives. It encourages volunteerism, raises and disburses funds, promotes communication and cooperation with Pine View School, provides input to the school on issues of concern to parents, and supports gifted advocacy issues on a local and statewide basis.
